The Secret Visualization Tool

By now, many of you would have read the book titled "The Secret". Many of you would have also watched "The Secret Video" either from a paid video or from the various youtube videos.

The decision of leaving my current employment was not possible if i have not watched and remembered the tools and mindsets taught by "The Secret". Of the many tools mentioned, the strongest one that is embedded in my mind is "The Secrets Visualization Tools".

We need to be able to visualize what we want, and what we can acheive in our future.
Without that visualization, we will not have that goal (but only dreams), and without the goals, we will not be able to derive the steps to acheive that goal that we set.

For myself, through visualization, i can see what i am going to achieve in the very near future. Many may have doubted me, but i know that i am going to proof them very wrong and ask them to take back their words.

As a friend, i strongly encourage you to read or watch The Secret, especially the part on "The Secret Visualization", as shown be Youtube video below:

Manchester United - Champions of England & Europe

Glory Glory Manchester United...

Manchester United (The Red Devils) has once again be crowned as Champions League Champion. And together with this Champions League, they have also conquered their own home league, the Barclays English Premier League (EPL) by beating Chelsea to the crown.

Yes, Red Devils have beaten Chelsea twice - one for the EPL and the other is the Champions League this morning. Chelsea is not that bad to be frank, their squad is very strong, with the whole squad filled with superstars, fuelled by the riches by their russian billionaire owner, Roman Abramovic.

This also proves once again that riches and wealth itself does not instantly create a Championship Team. A strong team is only build over time with a stronf manager/coach that takes times and effort to nurture the team. He has to make sure that all players are not selfish and play for the team. Alex Ferguson, the manager of Red Devils, is certainly good in this area of management. He knows how to prevent his young and promising starlets from too much media cover and disturbancem, as well as re-motivates the older and more experience players to rekindle their touches. He is indeed a master of motivation and inspiration.

I am glad that i bought some chips, and took a taxi at 2am in the wee hours to watch this final in my buddy's house. As he is an anti-Man Utd fan, we really have lots of fun, cheering our "own" team and jeering the opposition whenever they have the ball. But the match is certainly not for the faint-hearted. Chelsea hit the woodwork (aka goalposts) twice during the game, if not Man United might have lost the match. Not to mention the Penalty miss by John Terry (Chelsea's captain) during the Penalty Shootout session.

Well Done Manchester United! Congrats to all Manchester United Fans around the Globe! Do drop me a comment if you one of them reading this humble blogsite of mine.

My 2nd Trip to Bangkok

I was having my short holiday in Bangkok over the last weekend. Glad that i managed to sneak out of Singapore and my work, to chill out in a foreign country.

Even though i have been to Bangkok 2 years back, i still quite like the place, the culture and the friendliness of the thais (hmm..got some conmen thou i,e, taxis driver that overcharged tourists by asking a certain price instead of going by meters).

For the last trip to Bangkok, i was so dilly-dally that eventually, i did not make a single blogpost about it. This time round, i have talked myself into sharing with you some pictures that i have taken in Bangkok. By the way, this one is more of a relaxing walk-around window shopping one compared to the temple-visiting trip 2 years ago.

Well-known colourful Toyota Taxis queing up.

Truly Inspiring

For those those follow English Premier League (EPL) Soccer, this post will be very familiar to you, especially for those that supports either Manchested United (Red Devils) or Chelsea (Blues).

All eyes are on the last match of the EPL season to see if Man U or Chlesea will clinch the title. I certainly believe Man U will clinch the title, not just because i am a true Man U supporter but the passion and comittment that the whole Man U team is displaying this season.

However, i would like to put my attention to one of Chelsea's player - their 'favourite' son of Stamford Bridge (Chelsea's stadium) - Frank Lampard. During last week's Champion League semin-final game against Liverpool, Frank struck the most poignant and significant goal of his career, driving home an extra-time penalty to help take Chelsea to their 1st ever Champion League Final.

As he wheeled away in celebration, a tearful Lampard sought out his father in the stands, sharing an emotional moment a week after his beloved mother Pat passed away due to pneumonia. Many have not expected him to even play this important game as he was still mourning for his mother, not to mention him taking up the responsibility to take the Penalty shot when one of Chelsea's player was fouled in the penalty box. He could have left that spotkick to his other team mates that have performed so well in such spotkick over last months, but he took up the challenge, the responsibility to score the all important goal.

He was certainly Inspirational and Motivating. He was so committed to his profession and role that must have certainly put his mother at ease towards her journey to heaven.

When the final whistle went, all the chants and thoughts were for Lampard. This are the words from his manager: "Frank is a brave man. He was very close to his mother. What happened to him it was not easy to take this decision to play the match and taking that nerve-cracking spotkick, but he played well and is a little bit happier now."

Frank has certainly did his mum proud and is really a role model - a model that inspire your to be at your best even when the whole world seems crushing down.

Garfield in Real Life

I have taken many pictures of cats and dogs in my life around the world. But this photo send to me by always Lovely certainly captures one of the best moments of a cat's life.

Still rememebr the show/cartoon series on Garfield, the fat, lazy but smarty cat that can outsmart a human being anytime. This cat certainly look like the real deal of Garfield in real life. So comfortable resting there. I heard while the photo was being, this "Garfield" only opened a bit of her eyes, and then went back to sleeping mode again.

And this "Garfield" looks huge also. Compare it to a standard letter box. It is actually about 2 letter box es long. So cute..

My Education My Tools

Many would like to know my background education, and i thought the best way to tell you is to show you something that is always living in my mind. It is something so simple yet so important in my daily life when i was taking my education all the way to my Honours Degree in a local university. In fact, these days, i am still very in touch and dependent on this tool. Yeah - It is the PERIODIC TABLE. I am trained as an Applied Chemist in my education.

No need for me to explian this table to you i believe ....hahahaha

My Dream Car - I want you!

I leave in a average neighbourhood at Buki Batok St 52, Singapore and people around here are normally earning a decent income to keep their family going.

Once a while, we will see people driving BMWs, Jaguars and Mitsubishi Evos to this place, when they come to visit their older folks or send their colleague back.

But recently, i noticed a very very nice Opel Convertible (Coupe style) parking at the carpark beneath my block. After checking out for so long, i finally found out that the owner is a middle age man that lives with his wife right below my unit. Heard before that he has a shop in Bt. Timah shopping centre customizing curtains for residential houses.

Besides the nice nice Opel Convertible, he also owns a Mercedes Van and a Hyundai Tuscon SUV. It seems like this guy is doing real well - since the Car of Entitlement (COE) is so high in Singapore but he still can own 3 vehicles!

But this Opel Convertible Sports Car is really nice man! Shall make it a goal for myself - work hard and smart - and get one of this myself! Couldn't find the name (and thus the price) of this sports car thou. I went to SGCarMart but couldn't find it in either "Used Car" or "Old Car" section.

Does anyone know the name of this Opel Sports Car?

The Ultimate Rejection Letter to share

I was playing with "Stumble Upon" and chance about this The Ultimate Rejection Letter.

Check it out!

The Ultimate Rejection
Letter

Herbert A. Millington
Chair - Search Committee
412A Clarkson Hall, Whitson University
College Hill, MA 34109

Dear Professor Millington,

Thank you for your letter of March
16. After careful consideration, I
regret to inform you that I am unable to
accept your refusal to offer me
an assistant professor position in your
department.

This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an
unusually
large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and
promising field
of candidates, it is impossible for me to accept all
refusals.

Despite Whitson's outstanding qualifications and previous
experience in
rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet
my needs at
this time. Therefore, I will assume the position of assistant
professor
in your department this August. I look forward to seeing you then.

Best of luck in rejecting future applicants.

Sincerely,
Chris L. Jensen

Taosim Possessions / Ceremony

Three days ago on a hot sunday afternoon while i was checking my emails at home, i suddenly heard loud chants and drumming going on. Upon checkig out of my window, i realized it was a Taoism Possession / Ceremony, whereby "Tunki", the human that is supposed to be possessed by the gods in Taosism per say. They were supported and serviced by a group of loyal and trusted devotees that was ushering from one block to anothe block.

It was an awesome sight i must say. At times, i may even say it is great entertainment. We see people of all races and religions in this area, all looking attentively to the whole possession. They were all amazed and happy with what is going on.

I have taken a few photos and the 1st one starts with "Ji-Kong" which is the Taosism Saint that is tasked to help the poor in the world of human beings. The next one shows the "Dragon" that is made alife by the dragon perfomers. Their movement are so sleek and smooth - that makes the dragon looks so "dragon".

The following photos shows 4 guys carrying a "Red Sedan" which houses the "Taosist Gods & Saints" and carries them around.

Cute stuff @ Biopolis, Singapore's Biomedical Science Park

I was at Biopolis yesterday and chance upon a couple of nice stuff there. Actually, i do frequent that place quite often, but today, yes today, i decided to slow down my footsteps and see what's around.

The 1st photo shows the chairs at the lobby of Biopolis Proteos building. Goodness, it look so so cute. But when i try to sit on it, it is so unstable. Definitely not for elderly and pregnant woman. But again, is Biopolis meant for them to be around there?

The next photo below shows a sign that is pasted on the toilet door. Certainly a thoughtful and gentle way to remind people to push the door slowly and cautiously.
Simple Things that Makes A Difference.

Ouch.....My Mini Operation

Just had a mini operation on my face this evening at the clinic to remove the bad acne cyst from my face. Gosh. It is really painful! There was the cut, the squeeze and the clean!

And now, i am supposed to stay home for 2 days. Not supposed to move around to collect bacteria and the operated area.

Hope my face will be back to normal after these 2 days.

Can someone show some concerns?... lol

Rising up whenever you seems like failing - The Best Dance

Many of us have fell down before. Maybe you are feeling upset at this very moment. It is alright to be sad but we need to have conscious mind that we can rise again from the place we had fell.

During the NAC, we were introduced to this video from youtube called "The Best Dance". It shows a guy who lost his leg dances with a girl who lost her arm in a car accident. The dance won fIrst prize in annual dance competition on CCTV9 international, Beijing. It shows us that there is no such thing as absolute failure. If you want something, you can still get it if you are determined to do so. And you certainly need the courage to do so.

Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail
