The Secret To Happiness & Success

What is your take on the true secret to happiness and thus success? To me, i strongly believe it is ATTITUDE! If you think that being wealthy, popular, handsome or rich will make you happy, think again.

Happiness if a matter of the heart and has little to do with external events on matters. It is about how you see things, not what happens, that makes the difference. The most well-adjusted people are those who choose to look at the brighter side of life.

So, instead of dwelling on negative thoughts, they count their blessings each day, at every moments. They understand that gratitude is integral part of happiness and we need to acknowledge it personally. These "happy" people generally develop positive speech habits and learn to speak out blessings, not curses and complaints. This tells us one important thing - How we say things makes a huge difference in how we perceive them.
Attitude(Pix by One/Million)

Happy people do not look for worth in material things. Those that are always going for the material things are not that happy after all, as they are sometimes afraid of loosing the wealth that they have currently. Those that have millions but are driven to develope themselves and their business will be much happier and eventually be more successful. They understand that material things alone will never fill that empty void that life sometimes brings. As such, to be really happy and be successful people, we need to find peace and purpose in a strong faith.

Hi everyone,

Thought this will be interesting for you to know.

For diabetes - PLEASE NOTE!

ps: received these pictures via my email sent by a buddy of mine

Hmm. No wonder they always say eat more fruits if you crave for "sweet" stuff, rather than buying off the shelves processed food that are available in supermarkets.

Hope this helps. =)

MSN TO BE CHARGED - PLS READ; IT CONCERNS U ITS TRUE!

Hi everyone,

I have received a couple of emails with regards to MSN to be charged in near future.
Bcos of the number of emails i received on this subject, i am really wondering if it is true or it is just a "chain mail" that someone is trying to create something.

I do really on MSN to chat with my oversea friends and ex-students...so seems i need to fork out some cash to keep it alive!?

Hmm..Do drop me a comment if you know something about this ok!!??

This is the email that i received recently:

This is Tara and John, the directors of MSN.

We would like to sincerely
apologize for the interruption, but msn is closing down.

We know many of
these messages have been sent out lately, and that they wouldn't be true.

However, this one is in fact true, and it will occur soon.

MSN
will begin to charge you money soon.

This is due to the fact that too
many inconsiderate people are taking up all the names
(ie. making up lots of
different accounts for just one person).

Therefore, we only have 578
names left.

If you would like to close your account,

DO NOT SEND
THIS MESSAGE ON.

We would not reccommend this, because if in the future
you'd like to use MSN, and you don't send this message on, you will be CHARGED
to use MSN monthly.

If you would like to keep your account, then SEND
THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST.

As we said this before,
this is no joke, and we will be shutting down the servers.

Please send
it on.

We do not want to be receiving phone calls stating that your MSN
will not open, or that you are being charged for using it - because this will be
your fauly for not sending it on.

The estimated cost for MSN monthly
will be about ten dollars CAN.

SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT
LIST.

NOW YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION.

In case you believed this is yet another of those 'prank' ! MSN shut
down emails, go to:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1! /hi/business/1189119.stm

(I did not access the above link thou!!!)

Regards,
Tara and

2 Singaporeans gearing nearer for BEST JOB IN THE WORLD

"TWO men from Singapore have been shortlisted for the “Best Job in the World”, beating some 34,000 others who applied to become the caretaker of Hamilton Island, a job with a A$150,000 ($149,000) contract to enjoy the sun, sea and sand for six months while writing a blog to promote the area.

For 24-year-old Singaporean Jimmy Wong, a freelance diver and photographer, it was a complete surprise as well. “I was in a state of shock, but I realised if you do something out of passion and the love for it, you can go far.”

American teacher Greg Reynen said the news was timely, as he had just turned 31. “I was at my computer and I couldn’t believe it. I just screamed and I went
running down the hallway.”

The judges were impressed by the duo’s video submissions. Tourism Queensland said it
received 224 applications from Singapore. The 50 shortlisted applicants will be narrowed down to a final 10 while an 11th applicant will be chosen by popular
vote."

Uncommon Strong Winds in Singapore in Jan 2009

(Image from Yahoo News)

For the last few weeks, i have been sleeping so soundly, due to the cool weather that we are experiencing..in fact it is the strong wind that have been making the weather so much comfortable.

It is no more the hot & humid that we always experience..i dont sweat so much anymore when i walk around under the sun in my long sleeve shirt and long pants..

Based on an article from Yahoo News, seems like not all Singaporeans are enjoying these strong winds like i do. haha

One person said it has become so difficult to play tennis, while another is putting off plans to go on a picnic. Singapore Polytechnic has even decided, for safety reasons, to take down two banners after one was blown away.

Marketing executive Jasmine Yuan, meanwhile, told TODAY papers: "The winds are crazy. We were walking for a bit outdoors and our hair is being messed up... Until the winds improve, I’ll not do my hair.

Do you want to find out the reason why we are getting strong winds these few weeks??

RICH by playing Soccer in Singapore?

Being in a small city country, it has never been a gorgeous and sought-after career to be a professional footballer.

Of course, in the 90s, Singapore was participating in the Malaysian League and was once of the top performing teams. After we pulled out of the Malaysian League, we started our own S-League and have produced couple of exciting players to support our National Team - known as "The Lions".

Few years back, there were plans to catapult "The Lions" towards World Cup 2010 Finalist, but looking at it, it is still JUST A DREAM!

I was reading Soccernet earlier and noticed an article "Man City owner tops British football's rich list". It seems like those players in Britain are earning big bucks with their passion and career associated with Soccer.

Rich List Top 20
1 Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Man City) £15billion
2 Lakshmi Mittal and family (QPR) £12.5bn
3 Roman Abramovich (Chelsea) £7bn

5 Bernie and Slavica Ecclestone (QPR) £2.4bn
6 Stanley Kroenke (Arsenal) £2.245bn
7 Alisher Usmanov (Arsenal) £1.5bn

Maggots at MacDonald's - Pls be aware

I received an email from a friend and i got a shock upon reading it. MAGGOTS @ McDonalds??!!!

Read on to find out more....

"I went to the outlet at Compasspoint on 3 Sep 08 at about 10pm. I ordered 2 Double Cheeseburger and a 9 Pcs Chicken Nuggets. After which I asked for Curry Sauce and Chilli Sauce to take away. When i got home, which was a short 2 mins ride, TO MY HORROR, when i opened the packet of curry sauce, i was greeted with a 'smell' and there were many tiny maggots crawling inside with a portion of the curry sauce which have turned black and harden and possibly rotting.

I wrote in to feedback to Macdonalds the same night, and this morning (4 Sep) i had a call from a Business Manager apologising for this encounter, the first thing she asked was if i had kept the packet of curry sauce! The maggots were crawling out, obviously i had it disposed as soon as i took the photos, and in our conversation she also mentioned that this is not isolated to the outlet at Compasspoint! It was island wide as it could be a supplier problem. I think it is ridiculous! She also told me there were a few complaints already.

Shouldn't they stop giving out curry sauce while pending investigation? It was 'fortunate' for me that the rotting and maggots were visible. For those packets which have not turned black may have maggots swimming in the sauce which is not known to the consumer. I asked her if they do check the expiry date of the sauces, she mentioned that the turnover for curry sauce is very high thus unlikely it would hit past the expiry date. Then my question is, if it is not even past its expiry date and it is rotting with maggots, what's going on???

This just serves as a warning to fellow Macdonalds consumers to watch out before dipping your food into curry sauce, you may not know what is swimming and growing in there... "

Tips for Personal Developments

Halo Readers!

Today we shall cover a little bit of Personal Developments. Personally, i am one that seeks active Personal Developments. Instead of waiting for someone or organization (if you work in one) to develop you, why not invest in yourself with education.

I love to read self-development books (in all areas: Motivation, Business, Sales, Negotiation, Mind Mapping, Creativity, Relationships, etc) as well as attending seminars, conferences and workshops.

Here is 3 main factors that we need to keep in mind if we start to self-develop:

1) Learn Everyday

It is important to block out time everyday to learn something that will move you forward each day in life. It is important to make continual learning a priority in your life everyday – whether it is listening to an audio or video program or reading a book. The compounded effect over time, even it is only 30 minutes a day, will create massive and awesome results in your life long term.

If you read only 30 minutes a day for an entire year, you will have learned more about improving your life in one year than the average person will learn in their adult life. That slight edge and advantage will make all the difference in creating success in your life. Learning is certainly the foundation for all success. It is actually where true success begins.

2) Stay In Peak Psychological State

In order to create power results in your life, you must learn to create a powerful psychological state. When you are tired, lethargic and feel down, it will be very difficult to create positive results. If you want to be in a leadership role, that is even more important. You need to realize that people want to follow a leader who has energy, motivation and enthusiasm.

If you are feeling down or tired, go do something like moving your body, going to the gym or a run, or do whatever you need to get your blood flowing. This is because when you change your physiological state, you also change your psychological state.

3) Dream Big!

Thinking and dreaming is free-of-charge. So why not think and dream Big! Too many people played too safe and tip-toe through life quietly so they can arrive at their grave safely. My personal belief is that at the end of your life, when you have finish your journey through this world, you should be feeling at peace and ease, and fulfilled by having pursued your dreams.

At the end of one’s life, no one ever said they were glad that they have played it safe. Many in fact will have regrets in life why they did not do something. We were are created equal and have the same ability to achieve greatness.

Remember – Do not let anyone steal your dreams away! A life worth living is a life worth fighting for your dreams.

Here is a quote from the famous Theodore Roosevelt:

“Far better is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the grey twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.”

What is Faith in Business/Sales

Ultimate test is the Faith of your customer.

A satisfied customer is proof that you have the personal qualities and the necessary skills to provide value with your services or products. A customer who gives you a word-of-mouth referral believes in you enough to risk his own credibility in introducing you to those they know.

A customer who returns for more is one who walks that talk.

The more faith customers have in you, the more faith you should have in yourself. You'll need it because you never know what tomorrow would bring.

The Entreprenuers Mindset

This shall be a Blogpost that i come back to review 12 months later.

Now, i have taken the leap of faith to transform myself from being a salaried worker, to one that we all like to call entreprenuer. So the checklist of WHY must be very clear before i can go on.

THE ENTREPRENUER CHECKLIST:

- Ask yourself & Answer Honestly
1. Do you believe you can succeed? Y
2. Do you have complete faith in your product/services? Y
3. Do you love what you are going to do? Y
4. Are you ready to accept failure? Hmm. More towards Y.
5. Are you ready to accept more than one failures? Y
6. Is your business philosophy going to be about gog from just good to great? Y
7. Can you see yourself being very wealthy, respected and charitable? Y
8. Are you willing to listen to others, be hands-on in work, bring on board people who share your views & values? Y
9. Are you ready to keep looking for mentors, learn business savvy, planning, financial intelligence and create alliances? Y

Only if your are given an honest "Yes" to all these questions are you truly ready. Not sure or Maybe IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

With these checklist, i shall continue from where i just started.

Drop me your wishes. I would love to hear them.
