Just want to share with you on my trip to watch the Singapore 44th National Day Celebration at Marina Bay Singapore.
This is my first time to attend the National Day Parade, and definitely the first time at the temporary Floating Platform at Marina Bay.
It was all excitement as we (my meow and myself) waiting towards such an celebration event. On the day, we pack some bread and chips and head towards the Marina Bay via public transport of MRT. We have to walk pretty far and go through 1-2 police security checks before we can proceed nearer to the floating platform.
(just got pass the police check)
(we are near the floating platform where the parade will be conducted)
(Of course i am happy. It was a long walk)
(Floating platform at 4.30pm when we reached)
(It is full house at about 5.30pm)
(We heard of Kallang Wave at the defunc National Stadium. How about Marina Wave Roar at Marina Bay Floating Platform?)
(Yeah..That's Me!)
Last but not least, i must stand up for my national flag fly-pass.
Year 2008 came to a close happily for me and some of my friends.
Definitely much more for one of my best friend, Chang Ching and his wife Liu Ying.
Tuesday, 30th Dec 2008 is the wedding day and together with couple of his good friends, we were honoured to be invited by him to help out in his wedding events.
I was tasked to be the main coordinator as well as the MC (emcee) for his wedding dinner, but the task was too overwhelming that Nizam (this guy is crazy) and i invited another good friend Boon Tiong to help to coordinate the event.
All turned out well i must say. At least i saw smiles on the bride and groom.
This is the short video that i have taken during the "Solemnization". Aren't this couple lovely??
And after the wedding, we the crazy gang went "Hotel Room Crashing"..we had lots of fun games and cheers. It must have spiced up the night for the newly weds. The gang consists of the follow:
Chang Ching's Sister and Brother-In-Law, and her friends
We the "BROTHER" of Chang Ching: Sean. Nizam, Thomas, Boon Tiong, Thiam Hong
I have been busy last few days with the preparation of my good friend "Changman" wedding tomorrow. I am excited to be able to help him by being the main coordinator as well as the MC (emcee) for his big night.
It is only these 2 days that i realised how important i am on tuesday night..phew..getting stress out abit.
Anyway, besides some of the preparation, we guys went out at night for dinner and a few drinks also..it was fun catching up..about things that happen in schools and soccer games..more than 12 years ago...
And yesterday i got a lovely gift from him, in advance for helping him out...
Wow...usually "brothers" that help the groom will get ang pow (red packets containing cash) as a token of appreciation for helping out. But this one is different, it adds on the sentimental value..and in future when i wear this gift..how can i not remember his wedding night.
Yes, he gave me a very classic Kenneth Cole watch...Nice isnt it?
Yesterday i was at the National Stadium to watch the 2008 Asean Cup Semi-Final Leg 2 match between Singapore Lions vs Vietnam.
I bought my tickets one day earlier at the Jalan Besar Stadium and was excited for the sunday match-up. Simple missed those atmospheres at the National Stadium to watch our Lions Roar.
The atmosphere was also good as we make our way in the evening towards the national stadium. There are FREE shuttle bus from Kallang Stadium, but we chose to join the Walking Contingent and march towards the stadium in style..Mood was good..Saw groups of Vietnam fans walking towards the stadium also..luckily no riot no trouble for all.
(Free Shuttle Bus Service @ Kallang MRT station
(The Walking Contingent)
(Finally we have reached the entrance of National Stadium)
Mood was good in stadium and it was close to capacity crowd..think we have about 45,000 fans supporting the Lions..Vietnam only has a small section (less than 1000) of traveling supporters.
(Near Capacity Crowd)
(Fans waiting anxiously for the game to start)
National Anthem of Singapore:
Match kicks off with Singapore Lions taking control of possession and launches wave after wave of attacks at the Vietnam Goal...
1st attack by the Lions, and we almost score...
And of course, the Lions were supported with lots of chanting of "butok" towards the Vietnam Team (and fans) as well as our famous "Kallang Waves"..They are AWESOME..The stadium was shaking...
But But,,,the lions just cant seems to penetrate the goal line of Vietnam, so many goals were either saved by the Vietnam goalkeeper or the Lions attackers were just not potent enough in front of goalpost.
And there was just 1 lapse in the second half of the match, that we allow the up and coming Vietnam Top Striker (and maybe this region's best) Vinh to dribble and dazzle past the sleeping defence line of Lions, and pass to him team mate to tap in the Vital GOAL! Lions is out of Asean Cup 2008.
(Vietnam supporters celebrating the only goal of the game)
(Image as shown on TODAY papers on 22nd Dec 2008)
Until next time..Lions we will keep you roaring with Kallang Waves!

This is abit overdue..but a must for me to post on this blog of mine that shares my footprints with my friends.
Here you can see the birthday cake to celebrate my eldest sister Vinny, my nieces Jingwen and Elaine and my cute charming nephew Kevan.
We all had great fun on that sat 26th July. Oh, i definitely remember this date cos i was half-way through my Organic Chemistry Mastery Workshop for O Level Students @ SMU.
Last sunday i managed to wake up and do the planned sunday walk with my meow @ the new Part-Connector from Harbour Front - Mount Faber - Henderson Waves - Alexandar HortPark - Kent Ridge Canopy Walk - Reflections @ Bt Chandu
It took me half a day to complete this 9km trail/canopy walk. Weather was extremely warm that day and the piercing sun will dehydrating my body. This was not helped by the fact that we started to walk really late @ about 9.30am. Completed the walk at about 1.30pm.
Think Singapore is really good about landscaping. All the parks are well connected and each have differences in them. In this way, we are not bored as we transit from one park to another. The most spectacular one must be the Henderson Waves near to Mount Faber. The structure was awesome and very artistic. Saw lots of professional photographers doing what they love over there.
I attended and completed the 5 days Guerilla Business Intensive Seminar at Singapore expo for the last 5 days and learnt a great deal from my mentor Mr T. Harv Eker (as well as his Co-trianer Robert and his guest speakers such as Joel Robert and Alex Mandossian).
This is a powerful program that gives us all the strategies we need for high-speed success in any business. Most people go into business to make a living, Guerrilla Business School showed us how to create a lifetime of passive income.
Here are a few of the things we have learned during the last 5 days: * How to generate million-dollar ideas every 60 seconds! * How to make or save a fortune using guerrilla negotiation tactics. * How to start any business or division with little or no money down. * Become a marketing genius in 6 hours flat. * How to raise $10,000 to 1/2 a million dollars without asking anyone to finance anything. * Win-win sales strategies that work in the real world. * How to set up your business for massive passive income or (sell it for millions if you choose to!)
Using what we have learned at Guerrilla Business School, we will stop wasting time with tactics that produce little or mediocre results and start creating wealth in any business you choose. This is my belief after attending this program
Just had a mini operation on my face this evening at the clinic to remove the bad acne cyst from my face. Gosh. It is really painful! There was the cut, the squeeze and the clean!
And now, i am supposed to stay home for 2 days. Not supposed to move around to collect bacteria and the operated area.
Hope my face will be back to normal after these 2 days.
Yesterday we have an interesting line of World Class Speakers to share with us their success stories and thoughts. Today is the 2nd Day of the National Achievers Congress and we were all blown away by the speakers. It is just breath-taking and truly inspirational.
We have Joel Christopher (Master List Builder), The Greatest Trainer of All Time - Mr T. Harv Eker (From Zero to Millionaire), Joe Girard (How to Sell Anything to Anybody) & Adam Ginsberg (The Ebay Guy. What a line up!
Just want to give some special mention to Mr T. Harv Eker and Mr Joe Girard. T. Harv Eker is my Mentor by the way, i have attended workshops such as Millionaire Mind Intensive & Train The Trainer and have learnt loads from him. Definitely live up to his tag as "World Greatest Trainer".
What about Joe Girard? He is known as the World's Number 1 Retail Salesperson for over 12 years and is attested by The Guinness Book of World Records. He certainly life up to his names. Check out the pictures on the left where he risk his life and climb up the ladder, just to put his point clearly to us. And the important thing is that he is not young anymore! Cool stuff!
For more details of what i have learned during the 2nd Day of NAC 2008, please visit my Success Secrets website @ www.GetStartedWithSuccess.com
Just came back from DAY 1 of the NAC event held in Singapore Expo.
It is an awesome day with great speakers sharing their thoughts on being successful.
The day started with Blair Slinger, the Sales Guru & Advisor to RICH DAD, POOR DAD, sharing with us how to do the Elevator Speech, be a better Presenter in front of your Clients, Boss or Partner. I purchsed two books from him at seminar price and eager to read about it.
Besides Blair Slinger, we also have Roger Hamilton and Steve Linder (trainer for Anthony Robbins Group).
You see some pictures that i managed to take while sneaking around...yeah.."sneaking around" since it is always not nice to take pictures while attending a seminar without them knowing about it.
Share with you more when i come back tomorrow when i finish the whole event. Stay Tuned!
If you want to know more details about the stuff that i learned from each of the World Class Speakers, please visit my Success Secrets website @ http://www.getstartedwithsuccess.com/.
Oh yar, i have also purchased 2 BestSeller books from Blair Singer on Sales & Building A Successful Sales Team respectively. So excited to read them now!
I have been quite a number of seminars and workshops such as:
- World Internet Summit - Internet Incubator - Anthony Robbins Unlimited Power - Joel Baueur mini Workshop on Persuasion - T. Harv Eker's MMI and Train The Trainer and many more..
But this is the 1st time that i will attend a congress where i will get to hear more than 1-2 speakers (or GURUs) to share with us their winning strategy towards success. Many will be touching on Mindset and i certainly believe this is the main pillar towards success.
Anyhow, wonder what NAC is all about? Let me throw some light as below:
* The only proven live event on wealth creation that has delivered massive results. National Achievers Congress™ has been attended by more than 100,000 people from six different countries.
* Have been dedicated to producing success stories since 1992. Nowhere else, no other place where you can find an event with a rich history in empowering people’s lives to take full control for their financial destiny.
* The one and only event that features world-class speakers and wealth creation legends such The Honorable William J. Clinton, Michael Porter, Robert Kiyosaki, General Norman Schwarzkopf, Tom Hopkins, Jay Abraham, Zig Ziglar, Mark Victor Hansen, Daniel Goleman, Dr. Denis Waitley, Peter Lynch, Zig Ziglar, Michael Porter, John Naisbitt, and more!
* These gurus will share their strategies and skill that will make money, grow your incomes and profits in your business and personal life regardless of the steep competition and the state of your market and the economy!
For those readers that may also be attending the NAC starting tomorrow, see if we are fate to meet each other there.
You must be wondering what am i doing with the Adidas Woman's Run isn't it? For a big men like this posting on a woman's run.
First of all, i received an email attachment (the one on the left) from Adidas about this Woman's run. I am still wondering why they have sent this to me? I did not purchased any woman's apparel from adidas before, to my knowledge and anything that i can recall.
Anyhow, i decided to do a blog post on it so that local female runners can participate in this woman's monthly run. This is so cool isn't it? Having a group of like-minded people to jog around together at Labrador Park and have a cuppa of coffee after the run..Ooppss. maybe not coffee for them, perhaps orange juice and yoghurt. I have jogged around Labrador Park before and the views there are awesome!
This run seems catered to all levels of runners - from a shorter 2km route to 10km jog. Marshallers are also provided. Cool man! Opps..I mean Cool Girl!
June/July period is usually the start of a series of long distance running events, all the way to december where we have the Singapore Marathon.
I have signed up the Singapore Passion Run 2008 for the 15km run. This event is also known as Saucony 100 Plus Run 2008. The last run that i participated is last year's Singapore Marathon, but i tool part in the 10km run event.
This time round, my plan is to finish the 15km Passion Run, followed by the 21km run for Sheares Bridge Event and aimed to conquer for the full marathon (42.15km)eventually.
It is always my dream to run the Full Marathon but never managed to do so.
PS: Shh..Tell you a secret..i have torn knee ligament injury (sustained 8 years ago due to soccer) and is advised by doctors not to go for any long-distance running. But..i just can't stop myself from running and getting the euphoria of "Runner's High".
