"881" tell the story of "The Papaya sisters" who are two childhood friends who grew up mesmerised by the shine and glamour of 'getai'- stage performance by singers live on stage platforms.
I'm impressed by the production team's efforts. From customes, make-ups to the acting from the local actors, i thought they have done very well. Excellent! Through this movie, i had learnt to appreciate Hokkien songs even more. The lyrics are so meaningful (If you understand them) and sound so graceful. They just manage to fill you up in a bubble and float around grasping for more.
