Yesterday we have an interesting line of World Class Speakers to share with us their success stories and thoughts. Today is the 2nd Day of the National Achievers Congress and we were all blown away by the speakers. It is just breath-taking and truly inspirational.
We have Joel Christopher (Master List Builder), The Greatest Trainer of All Time - Mr T. Harv Eker (From Zero to Millionaire), Joe Girard (How to Sell Anything to Anybody) & Adam Ginsberg (The Ebay Guy. What a line up!
Just want to give some special mention to Mr T. Harv Eker and Mr Joe Girard. T. Harv Eker is my Mentor by the way, i have attended workshops such as Millionaire Mind Intensive & Train The Trainer and have learnt loads from him. Definitely live up to his tag as "World Greatest Trainer".
What about Joe Girard? He is known as the World's Number 1 Retail Salesperson for over 12 years and is attested by The Guinness Book of World Records. He certainly life up to his names. Check out the pictures on the left where he risk his life and climb up the ladder, just to put his point clearly to us. And the important thing is that he is not young anymore! Cool stuff!

Besides Blair Slinger, we also have Roger Hamilton and Steve Linder (trainer for Anthony Robbins Group).
You see some pictures that i managed to take while sneaking around...yeah.."sneaking around" since it is always not nice to take pictures while attending a seminar without them knowing about it.
Share with you more when i come back tomorrow when i finish the whole event. Stay Tuned!
If you want to know more details about the stuff that i learned from each of the World Class Speakers, please visit my Success Secrets website @ http://www.getstartedwithsuccess.com/.

National Achiever Congress (NAC) 2008
This will be my first time attending the National Achievers Congress (NAC) and i am excited about it.
I have been quite a number of seminars and workshops such as:
- World Internet Summit
- Internet Incubator
- Anthony Robbins Unlimited Power
- Joel Baueur mini Workshop on Persuasion
- T. Harv Eker's MMI and Train The Trainer
and many more..
But this is the 1st time that i will attend a congress where i will get to hear more than 1-2 speakers (or GURUs) to share with us their winning strategy towards success. Many will be touching on Mindset and i certainly believe this is the main pillar towards success.
Anyhow, wonder what NAC is all about? Let me throw some light as below:
* The only proven live event on wealth creation that has delivered massive results. National Achievers Congress™ has been attended by more than 100,000 people from six different countries.
* Have been dedicated to producing success stories since 1992. Nowhere else, no other place where you can find an event with a rich history in empowering people’s lives to take full control for their financial destiny.
* The one and only event that features world-class speakers and wealth creation legends such The Honorable William J. Clinton, Michael Porter, Robert Kiyosaki, General Norman Schwarzkopf, Tom Hopkins, Jay Abraham, Zig Ziglar, Mark Victor Hansen, Daniel Goleman, Dr. Denis Waitley, Peter Lynch, Zig Ziglar, Michael Porter, John Naisbitt, and more!
* These gurus will share their strategies and skill that will make money, grow your incomes and profits in your business and personal life regardless of the steep competition and the state of your market and the economy!
For those readers that may also be attending the NAC starting tomorrow, see if we are fate to meet each other there.
Cheers
Sean

Adidas Woman's Run
You must be wondering what am i doing with the Adidas Woman's Run isn't it? For a big men like this posting on a woman's run.
First of all, i received an email attachment (the one on the left) from Adidas about this Woman's run. I am still wondering why they have sent this to me? I did not purchased any woman's apparel from adidas before, to my knowledge and anything that i can recall.
Anyhow, i decided to do a blog post on it so that local female runners can participate in this woman's monthly run. This is so cool isn't it? Having a group of like-minded people to jog around together at Labrador Park and have a cuppa of coffee after the run..Ooppss. maybe not coffee for them, perhaps orange juice and yoghurt. I have jogged around Labrador Park before and the views there are awesome!
This run seems catered to all levels of runners - from a shorter 2km route to 10km jog. Marshallers are also provided. Cool man! Opps..I mean Cool Girl!

Wow Banana - Part 2
More of the health benefits from eating banana coming up..Remember to ear more. (Image by rizalgeo)
Constipation: High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
Hangovers: One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
Heartburn: Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.
Morning Sickness: Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.
Mosquito bites: Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
Nerves: Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.
Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
Temperature control: Many other cultures see bananas as a 'cooling' fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan.
Smoking &Tobacco Use: Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.
Stress: Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.
Strokes: According to research in The New En gland Journal of Medicine, eating bananas as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%!
Warts: Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of banana skin and place it on the wart, with the yellow side out. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster or surgical tape!
So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, 'A banana a day keeps the doctor away!'
These information was shared with me by my confidante. PASS IT ON TO YOUR FRIENDS!
PS: Bananas must be the reason monkeys are so happy all the time! I will add one here; want a quick shine on our shoes?? Take the INSIDE of the banana skin, and rub directly on the shoe...polish with dry cloth. Amazing fruit isn't it.

Wow Banana - Part 1
Don't go 'bananas' over this.
A professor at CCNY for a physiological psych class told his class about bananas. He said the expression 'going bananas' is from the effects of bananas on the brain.
Read on:
Never, put your banana in the refrigerator!!! This is interesting. After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again.
Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.
Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.
But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.
Depression: According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS: Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.
Anemia: High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.
Blood Pressure: This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.
Brain Power: 200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
Constipation: High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

More to come in next post....Cool..never thought Banana is so beneficial to us.

Water Bridge Over A River
Have you ever seen a WATER bridge over a river ?
Even after you see it, it is still hard to believe! This is the Water Bridge in Germany....What a feat!
Six years, 500 million euros, 918 meters long.......now this engineering. This is a channel-bridge over the River Elbe and connects the former East and West Germany, as part of the unification project. It is located in the city of Magdeburg, near Berlin. The photo was taken on the day of inauguration.
To those who appreciate engineering projects, here's a puzzle for you armchair engineers and physicists. Did that bridge have to be designed to withstand the additional weight of ship and barge traffic, or just the weight of the water?
Answer:
It only needs to be designed to withstand the weight of the water! Why? A ship always displaces an amount of water that weighs the same as the ship, regardless of how heavily a ship may be loaded.

No Licence to Charge More for Rice Price Increase
Yes it has been confirmed on 2 things as reported by the media:
1) Rice price is increasing - not just in Singapore but in all over the world
2) Rice stalls in Singapore is raising their prices for selling food to consumers
It has been widely reported in Singapore Media recently that a plate of chicken rice has been raised from SGD3 to SGD3.50 by many hawkers, coffee shops and eating places. Reason given is due to increase of price of rice from SGD57 to SGD65 per 50kg of rice.
I was trying to do up a quick analysis of it and were shock to see the results. It it uses 150kg of rice per day, this means that the shop is selling about 2,500 plates of chicken rice a day, assuming they use 65g of rice per serving of chicken rice.
Thus be raising the price by SGD0.50 per plate, this will easily increase in revenue of about SGD1,150 a day (Using SGD0.50 X 2,500 Plates), or SGD34,000 per month.
Problem is that the shop only pays an extra SGD24 more for rice over the same period. So if we look into the Math, the increase in plate of chicken rice is in fact 48 times more than the increase in rice.
Surely, this should be look into by appropriate goverment bodies or authorities.

RICE RICE RICE - How come you Increase PRICE
For many recent decades, oil was the new gold due to the increasing demand for crude oil purely due to modernization and development of countries. We are all affected by the price of crude oil even if we do not drive as indirectly utilities and other things with a tiny link to it have increased.
Today, or rather for the past few weeks, corn, wheat and rice are the "new gold" for the same reasons. These commodities have become star performers and have hit all-time highs.Rice, a staple food for about 3 billion people worldwide has doubled ove the past year.
Many media have reported on the increase in the price of rice, and fears of a shortage in supply. The World Bank estimates 33 countries around the world face potential social unrest this year because of the acute hike in food prices. Many predicted there will be no margin for survival for these countries.
Record food prices are causing global inflation and forcing governments from China and India to take measures to protect supplies domestically. If protectionism kicks in all rice-producing countries and food-exports are curbed, prices could spike further. It is a vicious cycle.
Prices are of course a matter of supply and demand. It is correct to say that supply of crops have been hurt by unusual weather around the world. But i think the media have played a huge part in increasing the prices of rice. Speculators around the world have caused a panic rush for 'stocking' the rice and this causes vendors to jack up the price.

This is not helped by the food stalls that increase their prices for their food as they sell it to consumers. For example, how did the price of one plate of chicken rice surge from SGD3.00 to SGD3.50 when the price of rice did not increase at the same %. As such, such increased are simple caused by greedy people in the world.

Blogged Out
There is a news yesterday about the death of 2 professional bloggers in United States. Apparently, there are professional bloggers (or what others called Internet Writers) that work super long hours, often to the point of exhaustion. There is an underlining danger to 24/7 stress if Blogging Activities are not managed well. Other bloggers have complained about weight loss or gain, sleep disorders and exhaustion.
There are no official diagnosis of death by blogging. There is also no certainty that the stress of the work contributed to their deaths. But familiy members of the two deceased have all along questioned their lifestyles and believed there is a direct connection.
I used to be under such stress when i started on the Internet as i was busy blogging my life away and spent less time exercising and socialising outside. Now, my health is much better with enough rest and play. I believe the most important message is to have a 'Balanced-Life" and everything will be fine.

Singapore Passion Run 2008
June/July period is usually the start of a series of long distance running events, all the way to december where we have the Singapore Marathon.
I have signed up the Singapore Passion Run 2008 for the 15km run. This event is also known as Saucony 100 Plus Run 2008. The last run that i participated is last year's Singapore Marathon, but i tool part in the 10km run event.
This time round, my plan is to finish the 15km Passion Run, followed by the 21km run for Sheares Bridge Event and aimed to conquer for the full marathon (42.15km)eventually.
It is always my dream to run the Full Marathon but never managed to do so.
PS: Shh..Tell you a secret..i have torn knee ligament injury (sustained 8 years ago due to soccer) and is advised by doctors not to go for any long-distance running. But..i just can't stop myself from running and getting the euphoria of "Runner's High".

Most Inspiring Brands on Earth
Recently, there was a global poll by New York based online magazine brandchannel.com that asked its online reader to identify the brands with the greatest impact on their lives, as well as how the brands affected their view and behaviour on the world.
From the polling results, it seems like the Apple Brand has the biggest impact on the world's consumers, emerging as the clear winner. The proud creator of iPod and Mac computer won in six categoriesm including the most inspiring brand and the one that readers cant live without.
About close to 2,000 professionals from 100 over countries took part in this poll that last about 2 weeks. Apparently it seems like Apple has captured the hearts and minds.
Some of comments by readers on Apple:
"It's one of the few brands that are managed so well - Its approach to design, its ease of use, its selective communications strategy and innovation - that every touch point and product accurately represents what it should represent. It creates desire and mystery - just like the launch of the Envelope AirBook"
"Never a Dull Moment"
"Reinventing itself all along and providing, over and over again, a new perspective on what we thought was carved in stone"
Besides Apple, the other most inspiring brands were Nike, Coca-Cola, Google and Starbucks.
Microsoft, the world's largest software market was also a ""Winner"" - receiving the dubious brand that most wanted to argue about and wanted to revamp and complaint.

APPRAISAL v RESIGNATION
My friend from Malaysia sent me a very cool article on the difference between Appraisal & Resignation.
A engineer asks his boss ' What is the meaning of appraisal? '
Boss : ' Do you know the meaning of resignation ? '
Trainee : ' Yes, I do. '
Boss : ' So let me make you understand what an appraisal is by comparing it with resignation. '
Appraisal:
-> In an appraisal meeting they will speak only about your weakness, errors and failures.
-> During an appraisal you may need to cry and beg for even a 10% pay hike.
-> During an appraisal, they will deny promotion saying that you did not meet the expectation, you don't have leadership qualities, and that you had several drawbacks in reaching objective/goal.
-> There is a 90% chance of not getting any significant incentives after appraisal.
Versus
Resignation:
-> In a resignation meeting they will speak only about your strengths, past achievements and success.
-> In a resignation meeting you can easily demand ( or get more without asking ) more than 50-60% pay-hike !
-> During resignation, they'll say you are the core member of the team; that you are the vision of the company, and so ' How can you go ? '; you have to take the project on your shoulders and lead your juniors to success.
-> There is a 90% chance of getting an immediate pay-hike after you put in your resignation.
Trainee : ' Yes, boss, good enough. Now I know what to do.
When you are about to do my appraisal, I will resign. '
Muahahahahaha. Interesting isn't it for those that are caught in such a situation or have experienced these before.

Yahoo is introducing a new media site focused on women's daily lives, the latest in a string of sites that include ones for gadget enthusiasts and food lovers.
The new site, called "Shine," offers nine categories ranging from Fashion & Beauty to Parenting. It syndicates material from popular lifestyle publishers including Conde Nast and Hearst Corp.
The site is aimed at roughly 40 million women between the ages of 25 and 54 and aims to make Yahoo more relevant to this demographic, which is highly appealing to brand advertisers.
